Tennessee #4 (should drop more but probably won't happen)
Kentucky #5 (media thinks loss to LSU wasn't legit, plus they beat #1 by almost 20 points)
LSU #14 (will crack top 10 with two wins next week)

They matter in the sense of the quality of teams that you play in the tourney and at what points in the tourney you play them

LSU might win the SEC, currently ahead of KY, and the National media will rank KY ahead of LSU based on name alone....... We get the same luxury in baseball.........go look at Calipari vs CPMs results.........both are living off of blue bloods and ONE NC....
