That is very correct. It’s not about the top 25, it’s all about being in the top 3 or 4 of your conference. It helps to be in the most powerful conference, the SEC. It’s just like high school football playoffs. And if you win the conference with 2 losses you are an automatic top4 seed and have a bye.

hey idiot, if LSU comes in at 14 or 15 this week, and wins out, not only will we be in the SEC Championship game, but we will be in the top 12.

If lsu is like 12 or 13 or 14, it kinda screws us because then we'd have to go to championship and win. They'd use that championship loss as a 3rd loss.

All very avoidable if we would have beaten a terrible uscw team

Top 12 means nothing. There’s at large bids. Need top 8 or sec champs to be able to get in

Always a great way to start a post

On here that’s like 12-1.

Starting with it you win 12. Lose 1.

Iowa St has no good wins. I think the top 15 is

1) Oregon
2) Georgia
3) Ohio St.
4) Miami
5) Texas
6) Penn St
7) Tennessee
8) Notre Dame
9) BYU
10) Indiana
11) Alabama
12) Boise St
13) A&M
14) LSU
15) SMU

Iowa St probably 16

Nope.

Your going to have to include the top team that's not ACC / SEC / B1G / Big 12 champions plus Notre Dame (if they don't implode).

So that leaves 6 team slots are available if LSU wins out, but doesn't win the SEC Championship Game.

Let's be honest....maybe we beat A&M if we played them again, but maybe South Carolina beats US if we played them again

Ranking A&M ahead of us gives me no problem because we have to go on what has happened - not on what we wish would have happened

These rankings don't really matter at this point....we have to beat 'Bama to have any playoff chance....

Off topic I know, but how the hell is SMU 8-1 and nobody knows? I was going to look up Miami’s schedule and saw SMU - they’re going to meet for the ACC both have easy finishes. I just can’t believe smu of all schools has this season going.

I’m thinking we land at 15 with Iowa st at 14. But anywhere between 13 and 16 seems reasonable.
