I know all of y'all are working, but Patrick is on Good Morning Football on the NFL Network. He just named his top 5 LSU Tigers of all time: Cannon, Burrow, himself, Dorsey, and Faulk. Biggest thing of note, he said he’s committed to helping Corey Raymond snag some more recruits for DBU. Love that guy.

You never name yourself.
I concur with the list. It is way too hard to do only 5.
I like PP7 a lot. He really got the honey badger straightened out when he came in the NFL and mentored him. Now both those guys are out there pumping LSU and helping however they can.

Jordan does

Patrick certainly can. I like the confidence, and he’s not wrong.

Leaving off JD and honey badger and it’s justifiable. Embarrassment of riches.

Debatable. I’d take at least two DBs before him

Is it okay to name yourself in the top three LSU players of all time? Also, what about Honey Badger?

Jayden Daniels instead of peterson. He won the heisman. sorry PP7.

Joe - Heisman + Natty
Billy - Heisman + Natty
Dorsey - tons of defensive awards, best player in Natty team
Daniels- Heisman

now 5 is where it gets tough

Honey Badger- one of the best individual seasons i’ve ever seen on a 13-1 team.

Casanova - 2x All American 3x All SEC. LSU was good but not top 5 any year he was there.

Kevin Faulk- All time rushing leader. what he means to the program when he signed. the beginning of the beginning of the golden age of LSU football

I looked at that 2003 team and idk if any one player was top 5. A few top 25 players, Lavalais, Spears, Mauck,Hill, Webster

I fricking love Pat Pete, easily the best player in p&g 2009-2010.

He was in bounds, btw.

I’m really curious….who would you take at CB before PP7?

Obviously one could name many others, like Charley Alexander and Jerry Stovall, to list two.

it's probably my age but I take issue with Faulk being above some others more than anything else

it's just his opinion though. i don't actually care

Casanova has to be a part of the top 5. The younger generation just aren’t very aware of guys like Casanova and how dynamic of a player he was.

Defensive players don't win the Heisman, and very few non-QBs do. Peterson won every defensive award possible for a DB and was the best DB in college football for 2 years. Dorsey didn't win the Heisman either (and neither did Faulk), yet it doesn't appear you have any issue with them being in the top 5.

I'm not saying that Peterson is unquestionably a top 5 player ever, but him not winning the Heisman isn't why he wouldn't be

I said DB's not CBs but Honey Badger and Laron Landry. If we're talking about five greatest tigers ever I'd consider those two DBs before PP7

Why would you consider Laron Landry over Patrick Peterson. Peterson was a 2x AA (Unanimous in 2010) and won the Thorpe and Bednarick awards. Landry was a consensus AA in 2006 and a 3rd team AA in 2005. He didn't win any other awards. Landry also didn't contribute on special teams like Peterson did in 2010. Peterson was also SEC Special Teams POY in 2010.

I was at LSU for Laron's senior year and for PP7; went to a lot of games. Laron had a larger impact on the game IMO
