No doubt that was rigged. The replay official was an Alabama graduate for God's sake. Ray Charles could see that was an interception.

I agree, but how good was McCarron playing in the 2nd half of the 2012 game until the final drive?

All it takes was one good drive/play.

One of the worst calls I've ever seen. On the Reid Int in BDS all I could think was here we go again, no way in hell they let us have this one.

Wayne I felt the same way .. I even remember Hawthorn saying it was questionable about Reid's int if the missed PPs int in 2009.

Still makes my stomach turn.

We were only down six at the time, and Chuck Scott was averaging 6 and a half yards per carry. That no-call allowed Bama to kick a FG pushing it to a 9 point (two score) game with only three minutes left, forcing us to throw, with predictably awful results.

If the pick stands, it's a six point game and we have the ball with about five minutes left; plenty time to keep it on the ground. Would we definitely have won? No, but we'd have had a good chance. Am I still mad about this five years later? I am absolutely fuming.

Our last 8 play calls in that game were Jarrett Lee passes. One completion (12 yards), four incompletions, two sacks, one interception. Holy cow.

And I forgot that Bama's last drive was extended on a freaking roughing the punter call. What an awful game.

That's what I thought, I'm pretty sure it comes from the alma mater:

Down one score with 5 minutes to go, we'd be running the ball not passing.

This is just stupid. LSU lost 4 games that year. Even if LSU gets the interception call, Jarrett Lee is not likely driving us down the field for a TD. Even if that happened and we won, LSU still lost to Ole Miss 2 weeks later. That second loss would eliminate us from SEC and national championship race. Even if we made Atlanta, we would have still had to beat #1 undefeated Florida (who previously beat us.) NO, that interception call did not cost us the national title.

And learn to spell Saban you moron.
