I'd hate for people to think otherwise.

I don't have a source, but I think he's gone - it's tough to come back from this. The AD cut off his coach at the knees by leaking a "most likely" change after the Arkansas game.

So - how does Les go on? I think he's just smart enough to make them fire him, so they will - now - it may get sold to the public that he "retired" or that it was mutual, based on a negotiated buyout, but this is done - I knew it was done when the leak happened - that only happens when a decision has been made. If it was people talking out of school, Alleva or someone on his behalf would have quashed it.

I'm making a list of people who make lists. And you're on it.

Absolutely no source here, but I don't have trouble believing that the people who thought he could be out by Monday afternoon (as in two days ago) necessarily got bad info. Things change all the time. I will say that I would be surprised to see him back next year. Quite surprised to be honest. There are some places you can't really come back from. I was pissed enough with him to get banned for the first time in over six years posting after Arky, but having had time to think, it's a disgrace the way this has played out in the public with absolutely no grace or respect (or PR savvy) being shown by the Athletic department are anyone else. It's time for CLM to go, but it should be in a dignified way.

He's done a lot here.

And I'd wager that whomever we get won't be whipping Saban's arse all that routinely, so maybe we should have waited until he moved on to pull the trigger. The road to Atlanta will still require us to go through Bama.

When an AD says "no comment" when questioned about a coach's future, it means he's gone. If he were even considering keeping him, he would have said "coach and team are working hard....i trust they'll get things fixed....geaux tigers...etc.

But not having credibility with you isn't going to cost me any sleep, either. So feel free to add me to your list.
