The guy only had 1 good year at Minnesota (11-2)

That’s like a decade worth of 10 win seasons at a place like LSU.

As much as I and many like Freeze, he’s not a realistic candidate given the circumstances at LSU.

Neither should be Kiffin, tbh. They're both great x's and o's coaches, but if you're facing FBI, DOE, and NCAA investigations all at the same time for different scandals, those aren't the kinds of folks you think about bringing in.

How many have the same resources to pay close to the highest in the country, facilities and recruiting base as LSU?

I’ll give the names I was given today at lunch…

Joe Brady- contacted already and said no
Dave Aranda
Josh McDaniels
Billy Napier has been mentioned but that’s as far as it’s gone.

From what I heard Woody will mimic the same process as the baseball hire where he’ll have a list of names for the public and media to throw around while he works behind the scenes to get his man.

Bobby Petrino… he would build a juggernaut with the talent we have here. He is currently at Missouri state and lost to Oklahoma state by 7 this weekend.

Nice post Capt Crown! Cristobal is great but I prefer Napier!

Captain, I didn't notice Nick Saban's name he's been semi successful since returning to College Football.
I would think Woodward would call and offer him a raise from his paltry salary at Alabama.

That is hilarious but seriously... He hasn't had a screw up since and he would be honored with the chance of redemption at a program like this. The guy can build winning teams.

Curious if you were given the floated names list. Aranda, really?

UL-L ever beat an SEC team in it's history, regardless of who the coach was? I'll save you the effort of googling it.

NO

Napier is good right where he is - at a lower mid major who has success playing lower mid majors

I like Cristobal because of recruiting, but nothing else. Give me Luke Fickell and Louisiana's talent pool. Somebody will help him find some recruiters.

ETA: Chris Peterson is my homerun pick over everybody, but would he come back to coach college ball after leaving over stress?
