Whoever the hell is in charge, I guess we need to ask airhead, should go ahead and move this son of a bitch. Houston ain't going to happen.

Or maybe wait a few days to see what actually happens, and then make a decision?

I am so glad some of you knee-jerk reactionists aren't in charge.

What's better? Knee jerk or waiting until the very last minute?

ETA: let me be clear. I understand there still is a lot of time to make a decision and I certainly don't think a decision should be made at this time.

After two seasons of having 11 regular season games, don't chance it and just move it to Provo for all I care. I just want to play the game

You don't think the powers at be are already exploring a Plan B? This isn't U of F that we are dealing with.

Did I say that?

ETA: weather channel now saying potentially 30" of rain in Houston. That's more rain than we got during the flood last year

No, that's why I'm asking the question.

I think they owe it to the paying customers to keep them abreast of what they're considering. Don't know why this has to be some top secret type of issue.

LSU has never shown a tendency to wait until the very last minute in these situations. The only failed situation that involved a football game and the weather was Florida last year, and that was 100% not LSU's fault. I trust that this game will get played somewhere and that the public will be informed when the time is right. I have no problem with how LSU has historically handled these situations.

Just turned on The Weather Channel and they're saying the forecast is for the storm to hit Houston Wednesday in the AM.

I don't think the game will be cancelled...could it be moved to Monday? yes, either in Houston or Dallas...

what I wish would happen is for whoever is in charge of this game to simply make an announcement that contingency planning is ongoing and we will make an announcement no later than Tuesday to give the teams and fans time to react...

Because it creates rumors and could also get people to back out of hotel reservations and such. For now, it's best to just leave it as wait and see.

They didn't say specifically what the strength would be on Wednesday at that point, but I did hear them say they expected hurricane force winds for 72 hours after landfall.

The obvious answer here is to move it to Tempe, AZ.
