Not sure where the talk about line movement is coming from. LSU ML has barely budged ranging from +105 to +115 throughout the week; now back around +105. (according to the dull onshore books).

“It’s the smart bet.”

How so?
Please explain.
If LSU wins, will it still be a smart bet?

Agree. This is 50/50. Will come down to turnovers and special teams.

Its swinging between 0.5 and 1.5

Further proof there is not one “smart money” side in this game

Look, they want as much total money on the gamE as possible. Hence, the “swing”. It is not difficult. They tempt either side of the line with this movement.

Portnoy is always good for a wild melt.

He almost cried when a barstool guy made a jew joke.

Seems like it's been -2 all week. Haven't noticed any real points swings. Wouldn't really consider any movement between -1.5 and -2.5 significant until it crosses a key number.

Would love to get LSU at +130 or better but I don't think that's happening without so extreme sharp action.

Look, the line moves as a result of action, not to entice it

Offense was much improved at moving the ball and maintaining possession last week. You have no reason to not expect them to keep improving.

A lot of people, even some in sports media, clearly did nothing but Box Score watch last week. Even then they didn’t seem to notice the much higher rushing and overall yards.

There are no guarantees that improvement continues, but last week was an outlier compared to the rest of the season offensively. Completely ignoring that is a risk if you are betting this game, especially after Vandy proved susceptible to a good defense in their last game.

Josh Pate picked against us as a toss up (he changed the pic while talking on his show), but it was at clear that he watched the USC game and noted the improvements. He just said he didn’t trust it quite yet on the road. Most of the rest of sports media are just regurgitating that same old things from weeks 2-5.

You need to see the money to know. Further, they probably do not tell the truth about that. So many layers.

There’s no 0.5 line. That’s simply the ML.

We scored 20 against bottom tier SC.

Just because you look like you have a pulse on offense against bottom tier sec schools doesn’t mean you’re improving …
I thought I was the only sane person here. 20 points against SC is dogshit. People being delusional.

I get what you are saying, but Vandy being ranked where they are is based heavily on one game against that same SC team.

SC went into desperation mode late against Vandy and gave up 10 points late on turnovers with their backup QB. Otherwise Vandy’s supposedly potent offense only put up 21 points against that same SC team. They had 328 yards in that game and only 14 points and 333 yards against Bama. How many points do you think they’re going to put up against LSU’s defense?
