Having grown up with cutrera and going to school and playing football with him from middle school to high school, I doubt he made these comments and if he did he was probably referring to last year.

He also said LSU "un-named" coaches are telling him the same thing. Who calls BS on David Pollock?

Can anyone give me a reasonable explanation about why a player on the team who seems to have the respect of his teammates and an "unnamed" coach would tell a radio guy this piece of dirt? I have a hard time imagining that any person affiliated with the team would risk the wrath of the head coach, the assistants, and his fellow players by saying something so stupid.

Pollack must be a helluva reporter to take a pre-game feel-good interview with a UDFA who's likely going to defy the odds and make the Jags' roster... and use the time to talk about his old college QB.

JJ has the worst presence and body language I have ever seen from a QB at any level. Have you ever seen him inspiring the team or getting them lined up or doing anything close to what a good leader does?

Now you just sound stupid. I guess you never watched the Saints with Aaron Brooks. Unless you prefer beautiful smiles with your INTS. At least JJ looks upset when things don't go right.

He probably wasn't much of a leader last year. He seems like a quiet guy and last year was his first year as the main starter. We about 500 seniors on the team that could have taken that "leader" role.

We just need him to take more chances and less sacks. Some QBs will be vocal leaders, etc., and some will not.

Jefferson is a stud athlete with a quiet disposition. He never had to prove anything in high school as he was just a superior physical specimen. He is not a natural born leader and was not a leader last year, but that does not mean that he not grow into being a good leader. His perfomance in the GAtech game was nothing short of brilliant given the circumstances. I have faith in JJ.

IMHO i think either you have leadership skills or you don't. it's something you can't teach a player to have. just sayin

Was it a Malveto or a 3rd & Chavis?

Either way - he seems to have recovered completely from that bit of coaching in time to play in the NFL. Attaboy.

Has anyone watched any of the Jaguars preseason games? What do you think his chances are of making the roster?

Why do comments like this bother anyone. It's the truth. Get over it. We all know it anyway so how does him saying it make it different?

I can kick my own brother's arse but if some Georgia red neck cripple lays a hand on him I'll pile drive that inbred deliverance banjo plucker right into the hallowed ses pool from which he sprang.
