This is a big hire. Coaching at ND is like coaching with one hand tied behind your back talent-wise. I don't know how this will play out in the SEC, and I'm not crazy about his age, but he's a winner.
I've been following LSU football since the early 80's and this is the best hire on paper since then.
Name a better hire in LSU history without the benefit of hindsight. Obviously Saban was a home run if you include hindsight.
