Bump - I'm going to tabulate all ballots submitted up to the start of the bowl game (really until Chicken locks the Rant and opens the Scoreboard), then post after.

Maybe you were the only person in all of America that missed how unprepared Satan had his team, tonight

No amount of rehab can change the fact the he regualrly gets outcoached by somone

Miles made a bad program call, but rarely gets outcoached by lesser programs

Miles > Saban

So because Saban lost a game while coaching Alabama, it drops him down the list as far as LSU's best coaches?

Good point, there. What he does at Alabama is immaterial to how good of a coach he was at LSU.

BS, it clearly brings back to memory the unacceptable losses and lame excuses we got when he was here. It takes the gloss off that some have created as untouchable

Miles has lost only to SEC teams. Has us prepared to play. He got caught in a series of events RP, Pelini leaving, hurricane, etc. Had a down year. But never embarassed us like UAB, Iowa, etc.

There was also another blowout win over a ranked team in a bowl game by Les Miles added to the equation. Some people might have actually credited him with that and influenced their rankings accordingly. Others probably remained obsessed with proving his inferiority and continued to ignore any facts to the contrary.

Kentucky 07?
Arkansas 07?
This entire season?

RobbBobb, you're such a homer that it's almost painful. You've reached the point that you're using a coach's affiliations with OTHER universites as a way to discredit their value here. Should we cite how mediocre Les was at OkSt?

Only an idiot would move Les from his previous spot after a bowl win during an 8-5 season, unless you originally had him ranked below Dinardo.

The fact that everyone outside of the LSU fanbase thinks that Saban is a better coach should be a decent enough indicator to most on here that they're just being homers.
Just like they were being homers for being the only ones who thought we would beat Georgia Tech? Or like the SEC fans were being homers for being the only ones who thought Florida would beat Ohio State?

At what point do you stop basing your judgment on what "everybody" thinks, and start rationally analyzing the real facts? I gotta say, whenever I see someone introduce the "EVERYBODY thinks" so-and-so line into their argument, I just remember that the same "EVERYBODY" thinks American Idol is the greatest show on television, and all that person's credibility just kind of fades away.

So a 38-3 win is irrelevant to the rankings in your opinion? That's a very bizarre approach, I must say.

Miles was 41-11 before that bump, and 7-5 on the season. Afterwards, he was 42-11 with a 35 point win over a top 20 team. Anyone trying to rationally (or objectively) evaluate a coach would recognize that as relevant information.

Uh, 3OT losses to Heisman candidates, is embarassing?

Dude, go to bed. your pointless at this time

Saban can not be rehabbed after tonights debacle. Miles is the better coach.

Except that a lot of people here though we'd lose.

Except that's 12 fanbases, whereas the 11 others outside of LSU think Saban is better than Miles.

Saban built the program Miles had for three years. Miles had a better situation, yet never had a season as good as Saban's. He's now had a season as bad as Saban's worst, even though Saban was building the program the whole time. Those are the facts, and no matter how many times you post the same shite over and over, responding to each individual sentence like a moron, is going to change that.

Why would beating a team in an 8-5 season bump him over Nick and Paul, who most have as the top two? This season was not a good season. Beating GT does not make this season a good season. Not having a good season is not a reason to bump a coach up a list.

Yes, both teams sucked talent wise to LSU. Both times LSU was #1 and fricked up. Yes, it's embarrassing. No team has ever had two shots at #1, fricked up twice, then rewarded with a title shot.

You can't spell embarrassing or you're correctly, so either you need to go to bed or use google each time to make sure you spell correctly.

And after Bama finishes ahead of LSU next year, Les will still be better. Les won with a great program for three years and now he's the best of the best.
