Pocic will move to right guard for the ULM game.

Pocic graded out highest on the team last year, and had most KDB in 1st game. Yes he missed some in first half - but settled down and performed well in his FIRST outing as a center.
He will be a mid to high draft pick.

Pocic was recruited for the offensive line, either guard or tackle. His expertise is not at center. He's a pretty good ball player and if you recall last year he did quite well. Didn't look too bad to me Saturday night.

OP is a fricking idiot.
Rather than constructively site his inexperience with line calls at center, he goes on an ability assassination. Shame on you.
The kid is a fricking stud and will only get better. And, I personally saw him pancake his opponent multiple times.
Dumbass

The myth that he is the next great offensive lineman hasn't come to fruition just yet.

Yeah, the whole left side, and center were just terrible, the entire game. The right side played fairly decent, esp in second half. They will get better, and credit to Whisky for all the shifting and confusion. Injuries to Whisky's D-line really helped, as they shifted their scheme to a nickel package, about the time LSU caught fire...Chicken/egg on that , but it worked in LSU's favor. Good learning experience, and even better that they got the win....

You cant be serious? the whole O-line didnt play well the first half
It was a mixture. There were some bad runs by the backs, too. On one first half run Magee got the ball following his fullback off tackle. The LB crashed down to where the fullback was going. He was the contain guy. If Magee bounced it outside, only one gap away from the intended, he'd still be running. Fournette dropped that pitch on a play that was well set up.
The oline did not handle the Wisconsin stunts very well. But it wasn't isolated to Pocic. I saw Dillon and Fanaika miss stunts and cause plays to be blown up.
Other observations: Godchaux was amazing. They compared him to Dorsey, and that's just it. He has that quick two steps that will be very disruptive. Also, Fournette looked very good except for some freshman first game mistakes. He WILL be a super star.

This is pure bull. Go watch each play of the game. I am sure he made some mistakes, but he also blocked the hell out of people on a number of plays. And as far as mistakes go, how would you know? You don't.

They definitely looked better In pass protection. 2nd half adjustments & wisky lack of depth won the game. Don't forget the youth we have at key positions & the fact that we really didn't know what we were truly up against for the most part. It's not like we play them twice a yr. line play will improve on both sides. KB will improve at mike. And AJ should also improve. He was a few screens executed properly and a few drops from over a 50% completion rate and close to 300. 12/21 for 280-290 and 2 scores wud have been viewed much differently by all the boxscore experts. I'm not sayin we win the west but I'm sayin in nov when gimps come to TS we will be in contention.

Porter is much better than Pocic at center at this point. Pocic plays too high to play the center position. Looks like a future left tackle.

In the Wisconsin game Pocic was great in pass protection but struggled getting to the second level to block the linebacker on many running plays. The reason why it seemed the Wisconsin had more people around the line than we could block was because they did. None of the O-line were getting to the second level and the linebackers were basically running free. Also in the second half the credit for those Hilliard runs should not go to the O-line. If you rewatch those plays it is clear that the reason that Hilliard had such huge holes to run through was due to the linebackers biting on Jennings read and getting out of position.
However unlike what the OP says, Pocic was never "blown off the ball".
Someone that is supposed to be an animal on the field but really let down last Saturday was Connor Neighbors. He whiffed on many blocks or seemed to block the wrong player against Wisconsin.

Yeah watch Hillard's TD run. Wisky ran a corner blitz, the play side safety ran to cover his receiver, taking himself out of the play. The playside LB, for some reason decided to run himself to the shortside, I guess covering for a possible Jennings keeper, but since the corner was blitzing from that side it would seem that he had Jennings covered. We ran the play into the perfect gap for what the defense was doing and hardly any blocks had to be thrown to open up the hole, Wisky just ran themselves out of the way!
