15,157 attendance is the most since the capacity was reconfigured in 2005.

Pretty wild that the men's final four team didn't reach that in any game in 2006.

That team was under the radar most of the season. The home finale didn't even sell out. The game before that against Kentucky only had an attendance of 11,576.

2009 and 2019 are the two best seasons of having big crowds in "recent" memory.

Didn't even sell out senior night for a team that had already locked up the conference championship. Pretty pathetic.

Not really, they were just chasing Florida all season, but that team was very likable because of all the Baton Rouge kids on it (and the outsider Darrel Mitchell)

Definitely not under the radar.

Lost a bunch of really close out of conference games against good teams and started SEC play 8-5. 8-5 wasn't going to get anyone excited in that era of "Brady alienating the fan base".

Not ranked for good until mid-February. By that point it was too late to get the mid-2000s era bandwagon LSU basketball fan on board which is what you need for sellouts.

On a Monday night too. Shows that if you can consistently win games, the fans will show up in force.

Weird to me that that many people went to watch women’s basketball on a Monday night

I was there. I don’t believe that number. I had most of a row empty near me. Paid attendance maybe.

I believe this answers the question of what’s more important? Winning games or new Facilities ! Win and they will come !

Same. I feel like I’ve been in bigger crowds. I saw many empty seats.

Of course it's paid attendance; every school counts paid attendance in every sport. It was still a huge crowd for a women's basketball game, and it will help recruiting even more.

The crowd was impressive tonight but when I was in school in the early 80s the area held a couple of thousand more people and we used to park SRO people in there.

It may have been slightly inflated but I am fired up about this team. I am on board.
