and making as much of an impact as the geriatric lower bowl. i respect those people for buying tickets in lean years, but they produce a meh atmosphere at best. it is what it is. they also seem to be kind of thin skinned about the criticism.

The PMAC is a shitty place to watch a basketball game. The blue hairs in the 100s kill the place.

If you downvoted my OP you are part of the problem.

If you think it was a great atmosphere tonight you are part of the problem. Just stay home and watch it.

And you are posting on a message board.....during a close game....that's no better than the guys sitting on their hands on the sideline

Yeah, if we played outside it would be louder.

is it better to be a bad fan at home or at the game in front of the players?

I was at LSU from 77-81. The place rocked EVERY game and was feared.

You think it’s quiet in the last two minutes of a close game in a Duke/UNC game.

It was louder in Cameron with 2 minutes left and Duke down 16 than the PMAC was at any point tonight

I just want more for this program man. We deserve it. We are a sleeping giant.

Also for the record I was posting during a timeout. I give my all during the games. Try to be as loud as I can.

Cameron is such a new facility that holds hundreds. It's not the building; it's the occupants.

You must have been sitting at home. It was pretty loud in there the 2nd half. The TV turns the crowd noise down so you can hear the announcers. It wasn't deaf dome quality, but pretty loud. It's hard to get that place rocking when UF's defense kept us from going on big runs.

I was a student in the days of Howard “Hi C Carter”, Leonard Mitchell and Dereck Taylor. The place was intimidating for opponents to play in. We no longer have a home court advantage. Kind of sad!

The basketball team being irrelevant and inconsistent for a decade could be a reason for that.

The environment went to shite when they moved the student section from the sidelines to behind one backboard. They should return the student section back to one of the sidelines and make it a general admission section. If the students can't fill it up, I bet there would be plenty of people they would buy stand in line to buy a ticket and stand up and cheer the whole time.

Something like the UH Fertitta Center would be badass. Sucks we don’t have a billionaire investor to take from like Tillman Ferttita.
