We need a complete culture change where leaders are passing out freaking instructions on what we are going to do today (like Utah).

Eventually it will be so fun attendance will increase.

We can’t make up the culture on the fly. Will need an intervention.

It’s almost to a point where someone needs to recruit/ hire and pay about 20-30 solid “actors” to play the role as student fans that enjoy pumping up the crowd. This might get a following and get other students to join in the fun festivities.

The decline of fan enthusiasm started after the Lester Earl fiasco and the NCAA sanctions that followed. After Brown leaves, John Brady recruited well enough to get the program back to a Final 4 but he did not unite the fan base. He simply was not well liked. Then, Trent Johnson & Johnny Jones...Fan enthusiasm basically sunk into the abyss. Enter Will Wade and 2nd year in he’s suspended after bringing in a Top 3 class. All this coupled with the successes of Football & Baseball has contributed to what we see now...a fan base that just doesn’t care. It will take probably a 3 to 4 year run of appearances in the Tournament to get it rolling again.
