Yes, I also did not agree with the hire. Nothing can change it now so no point of complaining on the rant and just wait and see what he can actually do before we dog everyone. If he doesn't do well then yes, bag him. If he actually does very well as the OC then support him. We don't know anything until we actually see ourselves what he can do as OC so I'm excited to see what he brings. Geaux Tigers!

Y’all have started 300 of these stupid threads.

Stop it.

They’re having the opposite effect of what you intend.

if the hire were a reasonable one in paper, fans would actually adopt the wait and see approach you are suggesting.

But, it doesn't make much sense to expect "wait and see" when you knowingly hire someone who, on paper, doesn't look qualified. Keep in mind, it was very well known by LSU that this would be an unpopular hire. They chose to do it anyway.

A reasonable person would expect the reaction that LSU is getting.

We saw him against Bama and Fla with a 4 year QB, that others helped to develop. Now he has a freshman QB, that he has to develop all on his own.

Tell me which freshmen QBs he has developed in his past?

Then, I will decide on what his baggage is, m'kay?

How many terrible hires and decisions have to take place within LSU football before this rings hollow to some of you? Essentially many of you are arguing that there is never any point in expressing displeasure because once a decision has been made, like it or not, we must comply.

That sounds like a fantastic recipe for allowing this current administration to tank the program while we sit around silently behaving and paying the fricking bills.

How much money are you spending on this wait and hope?

Its just different to accept that when you are waiting on fall TV. Versus paying a TAF invoice in 2 months.

Visual representation of the Steve E offense.

I mean did you see that imagination against Bama! Entire offensive plan, run LF7! WOW such innovation. If only we had a national championship level coach that could come up with such plans, we would not have to worry about O and E. Frankly, based on what they have done, O and E are a downgrade from Les and Cam, period, end of story.

This is a mature post which will not appeal to many of the angry, ignorant, no nothing children on this board. I have a feeling that there is going to be a LOT of crow eating when we actually have a good and diversified offense in September. Whether this is a good hire or not will be determined on the field.

I tend to agree with this much: I don't care for the railing on E, as he is a guy who's given so much to our football program over 4 decades (and along with David Woodley, he's the first LSU QB I remember). But I have NO problem with fans criticizing the process that got us here.

I think most fans have been VERY clear when it comes to Ensminger that this is not personal with him. He actually IS a Tiger, and from all accounts a good guy...and has done great in many ways.

None of the above make his hire at the OC position a reasonable one given the possible candidates available elsewhere.

We saw what he could do at Ole Miss

We saw what he could do in 2 stints as interim HC (lose to the really good teams in he schedule)

We saw what he could do against Troy and the worst SEC in 20 years.

I guess my question is: What makes you think he will do better now.

They said the same thing when Curly was hired.

I think the point is simply that

THE HIRE HAS ALREADY HAPPENED

no amount of complaining will change that.

Support the team, if the coaches do not perform fire them later and hire others... that's how it works, but stop making your life miserable with the constant worrying and complaining....it does not help the team that you profess to care about.

We already know what he can do.

Why is it that work history means nothing to our fans?
