In the photo, notice Mingo's body position clearly indicating that he took an angle. That's why he's twisting to grab him. Thanks for the evidence.

Still a great play by a great player.

Agree, was a great play...didn't run him down, but Mingo ate his baby, nonetheless...

That photo proves nothing. Thats not the play!

Neither of their backs did jack against us.

Didn't Stanford beat them last year. Ducks are an overrated JOKE.

Brazil is faster much faster!!!

Thomas would embarrass Mingo in a sprint. Even with the handicap, kudos to Mingo for making that play. But, run him down from behind?

You don't have a clue! Mingo ran a 21.8 200 meters in high school. Get your facts straight!

Mingo will run a 4:5 at the Combine. By the way

21.8 is a good time for a 200 meters in high school. Its under 11 seconds at the split. That was allso prior to 2 years of conditioning with Mofit.

I cannot beleave any lsu or SEC fan would pump The ducks. I bet many of you beleaved ND was great
they were a creation of the media. Ducks would be 6-7th, Maybe lower, in the SEC!

Saying Brazil an Olympic Hopefull would be half as good?

Edward Davis ran 22.85 in the 200 to win the state indoor meet this year!

21.8 is outstanding for high school!!

Redstick I think both their backs had a combined 60 yards against us. Hill is better then any back Org. has. I currently would not trade our RBS for theirs. A healthy Blue and Hill!

To say Brazil is half as good is insulting.
He broke Holidays records and is much larger.

Look at what TH has done in the NFL!

Does anyone think Brazil could be a "Percy Harvin" type utility player for LSU?

Watching his speed reminds me of Percy Harvey.

Brazil can be a Harvin type, just waiting to see how they use him. He doesn't have the elite hips, but has some wiggle that you don't see guys with world class speed have. His biggest weapon is his speed. He was playing Defense at the opening 7 on 7, but they couldn't really move the ball on offense. So with time expiring, they bring him in on Offense, and everyone can see whats coming. Brazil-go-long. Couldn't stop it, and he won the game on the bomb(great catch). Kid has the ball skills and speed to be a Harvin-type situational guy, but there are other things , like ball security, blocking..etc., you know, the little things that you have to do to be a bigger part of the offense. Time will tell.

Hopefully they'll coach him up. His speed is pretty amazing.

Eleven and a half minutes of pure athleticism and skill, and this was his freshman year.

thought it would be interesting to compare D. Thomas in big games this year (soph yr) to our stud freshman this year.

I tried to pick the best opponents Oregon played which there were 5 of them (ASU, USC, Stanford, Oregon St., K-State)

Thomas avg stats:
42.8 rush yards/8.2 car - 5.22 y/car
26 yds rec/3.2 catches
1.4 TD/gm
55yds/1.8 KR
AVG TOTAL YDS/GAME = 123.8

Jeremy Hill avg against OM, Clemson, Bama, aTm, SCar
111.8yds/19.2car - 5.82ypc
1.8 TD/gm
8.4yds/1.2 rec
AVG TOTAL YDS/GAME = 120.2

Also, think about the competition Hill went against (4 teams in the top 10 final rankings) compared to Thomas. I would rather our offensive coaches feed this kid the rock 20-25 times/game even if it means Brazil doesn't get touches.

Idk, we put our best athletes on D. I dont give a crap that oregon puts 60pts a game up. They couldnt do that against LSU. Yet our pedestrian offense could move the ball on them but not on towson.

This is why i dont take anyone in the rant too seriously. It was james that git ran diwn by mingo. Thomas barely played early on.

Do you guys who constantly bash our players and coaches actually watch the games? I was wasted in dallas and still know it was james not thomas. Thomas had the ball stripped by tm7.

God our fans suck so hard.

Tm7 didn't strip DT, that I recall. He did strip KB, for the TD. DT was stripped twice, one by Sonic Sam, and one by Loston, though. What strip are you talking about?

DAT Here is a link, within it is DAT's 200 time. He would beat Mingo by a full second.

True, but kind of bogus arguement, when it was realized it wasn't DT on that play...not that it mattered.
