Ask your friend if he thinks UL could go to Florida and beat the Gators at the Swamp.

LSU 52-20
Now

First game of season LSU PROBABLY loses. Then again they would hv lost to almost anyone.

How exactly does a team “loose” a coach?

According to Jeff Sagarin ratings, LSU has a rating of 82 while UL-Lafayette rates 74. So according to Sagarin, LSU about an 8 point favorite. Most of the time Vegas and Sagarin are reasonably close, within a point or 2.

LSU -8 feels about right.

That would have changed this year. And that’s what the question is about...this year.

ULL not going to stop Johnson and Boutte on offense. Defense much improved but has A lot issues still.

No you haven't! You just made that up. The lowest its been all season is LSU -6, now it would be LSU around -10. You haven't seen that line anywhere because you made it up.

Before the Florida game I would have taken ULL, they would have been favored. Not so sure now.

Also realize LSU is 22-0 against ULL lifetime.

This year will come and go, and we will all enjoy watching 23-0 occur. This year is about as close as we would likely see the spread for many years to come. I would guess LSU by somewhere in the 10 point range if they played tomorrow.

LSU would be a 21 point favorite at a neutral site.

24-25 point favorite in Tiger Stadium.

LSU would open around a touchdown favorite, maybe slightly under, and it would be bet down from there.

LSU is 22-0 all time against UL-Lafayette with a combined score of......988-25! I’m pretty sure nothing would have changed this year. May have been more competitive than recent years, but no my friend, just no.

Maybe so but Johnson at QB changes the dynamic and chemistry of the entire football team. We beat Fla. at Fla. in a game NO one expected us to WIN. After the 'Bama debacle I was convinced Fla. was going to beat us by at least 4 TD's. Amazing how having a capable QB can change the perception of the team and the outcome of a game. ULL would lose by double digits.

We’d still beat them. It’s the ugly truth. They definitely are earning respect but there’s always going to be a massive gap. They are in the golden era of UL football but LSU is LSU. This is like UCF trying to argue that they’d beat FSU, Miami and UF. It ain’t happening.
