Would it be a good idea to play Texas A&M at Reliant Stadium for the next 10 years? I think this wound help recruiting in the Houston area.

No, college football should always be played on a college campus.

Sure. While we're at it let's never play a game in Tiger Stadium again. Tradition, college GameDay enviornment, non cooperate fans....pssst.

Why can't we just play college football games in college football stadiums?

First, they would NEVER agree to that. They already play Arkansas in Dallas every year and are spending half a billion on their new stadium.

Second, we also just spent a ton of money expanding to 100k.. why would we want to lose yet another potentially marquee home game?

Yeah, playing at these neutral sites just doesn't do it for me.

Nope, game like that needs to be on campus.
I'm ok with the OOC season openers being held at neutral sites, but that's it.

campus' are too close together to not play at home stadiums IMO, do a one year deal or something like that I'm fine with it, but can't just continue to take away home games

With that game being on thanksgiving I'll never get a chance to go.

Might as well play in Houston.

wouldn't want to make our "home" games every other year in a city that is 3 hours closer to them and has a ton more alumni from aTm than LSU.

Living in College Station, I can tell you that the Aggies would not do that, even if we gave them 25M every year to do it. They are upset that the AD agreed to play Arkansas in Arlington every year.

When the plans to rebuild Kyle Field were being made, there was a strong possibility that all home games would have to played in Houston for one or two full seasons. The Aggie fans went ballistic with this idea and because of the negative reaction, the project was split into phases so they can still play in College Station every season.

It does help recruiting in a way... hurts in another way however.

Can't have official visits to neutral site games. Getting kids in Death Valley is a HUGE recruiting tool. We want as many opportunities for the high-level recruits (who are taking/scheduling many visits).

With technology today we can get plenty of exposure AND have visits if we play on campus.

What the f*ck is the point of having a university if all the teams are going to play their bigger games at neutral sites?

Jesus Christ. It's bad enough we hardly get marquise OOC games at home as it is. Now people want us to give up name conference games as well?

I like recruiting, but I really like seeing the team I'm a supporter of at home a hell of a lot more.

Yeah, I'm mad.
