They have a steeper mountain to climb and have had more time to do it.

Ok didn't know that so now we have to dodge 2 more players that can go to the draft.

Reaves transferring?
Not impossible. He's just draft eligible as well, and I marked everyone who was draft eligible as "could go"

Starters returning that arent eligible for mlb.

Curiel
Brown
Milam

Evans

Bp(had playing time)
Rizy
Williams

It could either fill up nicely with the possible/potential returnees/transfers and incoming freshman or Jay has to make phone call to God.

What about Beck? Did he sit enough for Jay to rs him and get another year for him? He tried to rs already? What about Grant?

I agree would make sense for Frey to come back and play a position.

We have reached the period where people will desperately try to convince themselves that Shores and Frey should come back.

I feel like with Shores a big NIL deal could sway him to stay. He’s probably gone, but in my head, if I got paid well to come back a year and at the same time could possibly work my way into a starter spot and move up the draft boards for a lot more money, I’d consider. I guess the biggest risk is injury or regressing, and not having the attention you currently have as being the pitcher to close out the college World Series.

He’s probably gone, and it’s wishful thinking, but I know NIL can be a crazy world now.

I doubt Frey goes. He only has 1 year where he produced and his power numbers aren’t special. He has not proven he can play defense

Where exactly do you think he needs to show he can play defense?

Man - some of y'all are wild.
Dudes that are 6'7" 250+ lbs and can throw 100+ mph fastballs with 92 mph sliders don't grow on trees. There is a world where Shores gets drafted before Eyanson. Maybe not probable, but definitely possible. On the same token - dudes that are 6'6" 230 lbs that are athletic as frick and can hit the ball 110+ mph off the bat also don't grow on trees. There is a world where Frey gets drafted before Jones. Once again - not probable, but definitely possible. MLB does not need to see Shores in a starting role and they do not need to see Frey play a field position. Both of those dudes showed more than enough to be very high draft picks. I wish them all the best, they will always be tigers, but we have seen the last of those guys in an LSU baseball uniform.
