...is absolutely horrible. They're even playing this crap over Dan Borne when he's trying to give information about the previous play. What clown is in charge of this?

Glad someone mentioned this. The music became atrocious later in the game. You couldn't hear a damn thing the announcer was trying to say.

Someone please don't tell that dipshit over 50,000 people were at Taylor Swift, they'll blare that for ole miss.

Hate the piped in music as well. Always have. Would rather hear the band.

They play it between every play. It takes the crowd out of the game.

People complain about folks leaving at halftime but it doesn't matter. The piped in music has completely replaced crowd noise. Whether there are 100,000 or 20,000 fans in the stands, the speakers are still playing at the same volume. Attendance doesn't matter anymore.

It's a gimmick for smaller stadiums that need to fill in noise but has no place in Tiger Stadium. It ruins part of the experience. For TV Time outs, yes, do that if you want to entertain the under 30 crowd. Between downs, no.

Yes, it kills the organic excitement, the essence of what makes Tiger Stadium unique and great.

Face it guys, we've lost that battle and have gone from unique to poser. Don't get us started but we've screwed with tailgating even worse.

It's kind of embarrassing when I hear all these folks telling me that Tiger Stadium is on their bucket list. I tell them to take the 30 minute drive over to the Big House, and they'll get the same atmosphere. Never would have recommended this 10 years ago...

With all this, still have my season tickets and fly down for every home game.

The solution is to get the students to work the STTDB chant into every piped-in song.

Can we concentrate the fan bitching to the performance on the field?

Every school has aggressive 3rd Down music. The students like it. Every please try not to sound 100 years old. Y’all the ones emptying out at half.

You guys certainly haven't been paying attention. For the SELU game and the first half of the La Tech game there was very little piped in music before the plays. Occasionally as the defense would take the field to start a series piped in music would play. But if you have been paying attention you can tell that they have tried to limit it very much this year.

The second half of the La Tech game there were about 40,000 people in attendance and the crowd noise was non-existent. That is when the piped in music was used to try and give some kind of a game day atmosphere. I hate to rain on your "get off my lawn" parade, but if the fans were there and making noise, the piped in music would not happen.

Piped in music and pre-game fireworks should be banned.

Need more GBFTL and Mike circling the stadium again.

let me tell you a little story.

the year was 2003. lsu had an up and coming head coach in nick saban. the tigers had recently hung a few skins on the wall with saban at the helm. things were looking up after a dismal 90's.

uga was highly ranked and lsu wasn't there yet as a program. late in the 4th, uga scored a td to tie the game. this was the moment when better programs like uga rise to the occasion. the wind was just let out of the tigers' sails.

the lsu students did something amazing. they started chanting l s u! l s u! the whole, huge crowd picked it up. the tigers drove down the field and took the lead never looking back. that win propelled lsu into the national spotlight of the championship conversation. the tigers were for real. they had reached elite status.

not one second of piped in music created that magical moment.

have you ever thought that things like stadium music is one of the reasons why people are not really all that interested anymore? compare and contrast the current scene with the story i just told.

There's a balance here. If there wasn't piped in music ya'll would be complaining about times where it was too quiet and we need some music played. Arkansas radio here is begging for piped in music during their games... it goes both ways.

Is it too much at times? Yes, I agree with that; but bitching about all of it is ridiculous.

This past weekend was my first game in a while, and at first I didn't mind the piped in music. Then I realized that it was being WAY overplayed. Played over the announcer, played over Tigerband.

There is a way that recorded music and Tigerband can co-exist. Just don't play it on every single down and please don't play it over the announcer!

As a contrast, I went to the Michigan - Nebraska game this weekend assuming wrongly before the season started that the LSU game would be a blow out and i’d see a competitive game.

The Big House crowd and overall fan experience was fantastic. They mic up the band who plays non stop and can here them regardless of your seat in the stadium. Not one time did I ever recall any piped in music. The fans stayed with a full house of 111k to way into the 4Q except for the student section that was half full after halftime in what turned into a blowout. It was humorous listening to the fans bitching about students leaving early. The concessions and access through bathrooms were efficient.

Bottom line, no comparison in experience...so much better than Tiger Stadium unfortunately. Hard for me to admit but true.
