It's a snapshot in time. They are paying attention. Maybe there were other moments when they were laughing.
One thing I can tell you, he's not laying down any laws or acting like the "new sheriff in town".
I am sure he was setting a positive tone and informing them that he'll sit down individually with them in the coming days, etc.
