Are we better this year than we were last year?

If you’re drafting these guys, would you rather have the 3 players from 2022 or the three from 2023? Tell us your reasoning, so we can have a good discussion.

There will be four “Pick 3” posts, including the following position groups:
Cornerbacks
Linebackers
Defensive Linemen
Wide Receivers

Notes:
• Players were chosen because they correspond in some way (from left to right) to the other guys. Maybe they play the same position; maybe they both transferred from a small school; maybe they were/are true freshmen; or maybe they were both considered to be the #1 option.
• Some players were not listed (i.e., Harold Perkins) because they will have been starters for both seasons. Some positions are not considered because they are either too similar to last year (QB, HB, OL, TE) or they are too obvious for a vote (Jack).

yes but main reason is perkins knowing the defense, and penn being a veteran.

Speights is my first choice, but then I’m taking all 2022 guys next.

The 3 from 2022 are way better. Two were reliable veterans and one was developing into a stud. However, as a poster wrote earlier, we probably will be better at LB with Penn and Perkins getting more experienced.

BTW, the younger Weeks appears to be an extremely instinctual player like Harold Perkins is. Obviously he won't be THAT explosive, but he could come on quickly.

I'd have to take the 2022 guys here, perhaps only because of experience. I do like Speights' game.

As someone said earlier, the 2023 linebackers overall may be better due to added experience for Perk/Penn.

Perk/Speights will be better than anybody else on the ‘22 team. That’s why I like ‘23 better

Honestly this one is the hardest to judge. I think Tolan has the best potential out of all 6 with Speights and Baskerville being experienced reliable linebackers.

Due to Tolan and Baskerville I am probably taking 2022 on paper.

This might be the most poorly executed concept I’ve seen on TD

At least only do one position group per day

I would have to go 2022
Also depends on where Harold Perkins fits in.

People are sleeping on Speights. I think he’s at least equal to Baskerville and probably better.

Mike Jones was never a factor here and Tolan was coming off the bench. The ‘22 group isn’t near the slam dunk people are making it out to be.

So it comes down to the Weeks brothers and I don’t know what to expect from them production wise.
