There's video on YouTube of Miles running down the sideline screaming and making a "clock it" motion with his arms/hands.

Telling.

FWIW, he was not signaling clocking it. People claiming that are spreading untrue rumors.

It has already been de-bunked. He was signaling to the referee that Tolliver was down before the fumble.

I'm upset with Miles right now, but nonetheless people should not spread untrue stuff. there's plenty of actual coaching mistakes from the Ole Miss game to pick apart rather than come up with stuff that did not happen.

If he was signaling to clock it, he would have been signaling Jefferson.

Correct, and for those that don't know, Jefferson was standing on the 50 yard line.

Sorry - that's BS and it has not been debunked. I've watched the video several times and if you try to read that into it, fine, but you surely can read the spike motion into it too. He was cusping his hand like he would be holding a football when he was making his arm movement down; if he was saying someone was down, he'd point his fingers out.

Saying point blank that thhis "is spreading rumors" is wrong.

He was signaling to the referee that Tolliver was down before the fumble.

Why is this even necessary? The referee had already made the call. Why add to the confusion? Oh I forgot, he was confused as well.

The rumor has been du-bunked. Please see link above.

Miles was not calling for a spike. If you choose to believe that, then fine, but you haven't seen the information if you believe that, because it is clear he was not calling for a spike.

Because an Ole Miss player came up with the ball.

that is what i was thinking. ive seen the motion for spiking and i have seen the motion for saying someone was down, and it did not look to me like miles was giving the motion to indicate the ball carrier was down before the wall came out.

but you have to admit it looked alot like a "clock it" motion. and to to a 19 year old kid, running down the field with one second to go in a road SEC game... what would you have thought, esp if your coach hadn't given you any instructions if the hail mary pass was complete.... even if he was signaling that TO was down, the whole sequence was a collection of FAILS by a man paid 4 mil a year not to FAIL...

I agree with that, for all the people to continue to claim that Miles signaled to Clock it, they obviously have not done their research.

He did not signal to spike it.

He did not signal to spike it.

He did not signal to spike it.

He did not signal to spike it.
