Won't matter anyway... it looks like the spike motion, everyone will identify it as a spike motion, and nobody is going to question what they see on youtube by coming to a message board and reading a never-ending thread of RobbBobb and JPLSU whatever explaining that they didn't see what they thought they saw.

Miles will forever be the buffoon who signaled to spike the ball with one second on the clock. Who knows what he intended. Only he does, maybe. But it's "common knowledge" now. Sorry 'bout that.

He screwed the pooch every way he could on this one. Somebody, maybe Alleva, needs to tell him that for 4 mil or so a year he's expected to pay attention to the game. And take his meds.

JPLSU1981:

dude you are really trying, which you get credit for but if you don't think that frickin idiot was running down the sideline to spike the ball then you are just an absolute asshat.

99 out of 100 think the same thing, are you so myopic to think you have a different angle that is correct and you are EVERYONE else is wrong?

Directly from the mouth of a player who was on the fg team..."I was told to get back we were spiking it". No link...from him to me so now I don't care what you want to read into or not read into on the vidoe....spiking it WAS the plan by our genius coach

Wow you are a real class act! Yes, I am dating and soon to be engaged to one of the players, but that doesn't mean I can't have a mind! I was just simply passing along some knowledge to you rantards. Try to speak more respectfully when you know you are talking to a female. It will get you alot further in life. Thanks

but you have to admit it looked alot like a "clock it" motion

I agree with that, for all the people to continue to claim that Miles signaled to Clock it, they obviously have not done their research.

He did not signal to spike it.

He did not signal to spike it.

He did not signal to spike it.

He did not signal to spike it.

/thread

He called for the spike 5 times.

He called for the spike 5 times.

He called for the spike 5 times.

He called for the spike 5 times.

FWIW, he was not signaling clocking it. People claiming that are spreading untrue rumors.

It has already been de-bunked. He was signaling to the referee that Tolliver was down before the fumble.

I'm upset with Miles right now, but nonetheless people should not spread untrue stuff. there's plenty of actual coaching mistakes from the Ole Miss game to pick apart rather than come up with stuff that did not happen.

Thanks JP, one of the few reasonable posts since last night. Why people keep talking about this "Miles Myth" beats me instead of what was the really major bungaloo; not calling run plays when on the 31 yard line. That was what so infuriated me. I saw the video and never thought Miles was telling JJ to spike it. If you notice he was pointing, not making a football throwing downward motion. I thought he was pointing as if to say "Get your ignorant butt under center and run a play, NOW." But that's just me. I had no idea that TT had fumbled the ball.

You are a moron if you can't see the obvious that he called for the spike. Grow up.
