Peveto had no room for error when he returned to LSU

I'm no fan of the performance of LSU's special teams under Peveto and think he needs to be replaced.
However, in fairness, he had two strikes against him, if not more when he came back.
Les Miles' loyalty to coaches (and players) well after their performance has gone south is well documented.
Peveto's malpractice as co defensive coordinator is a good example of this flaw and BDP was very unpopular when he left.
Peveto then became head corch at NSU and underscored his reputation with a 14-30 record before finding the door in Natchitoches.
After a year in Kentucky as ST coordinator, Miles hired him back.
Lots of us were suspicious that Les had fallen back into old habits and the hire was a poor one.
That BDP is plausibly depictable as a cartoonish bungler didn't help.
Now with bona fide awful special teams, we need not worry with appearances.
If he redeems himself as a recruiter, please explain specifically what he brings to the table no one else can. Otherwise , he needs to go.

None of us liked the hire and this is why. I have no idea what Les was thinking bringing him back here.

Spurrier can coach special teams better.

It's time for Peveto to Pevego.

He's a pretty good recruiter. I'm sure this is why Miles has him on staff more than anything. Sucks that our Special Teams is suffering right now though

BDP needs to take a page from the OBC & admit he doesn't have what it takes anymore. If he ever did have what it takes.

CLM won't do anything till after the season. By then, special teams will probably have cost us a game or two.

Other than Al Woods, who was a disappointment, who has BDP gotten to play here.
I see he has responsibility for a number of good prospects and he is listed as recruiting Monroe...
If he can recruit, find a place for him, but it appears he cannot coach.

There are few assistant coaches that have the inroads with Texas HS Coaches that Peveto does.
Saban tried to scoop him up after we released him after the '08 season.
Let's just hope the special teams get better.

Need to take the Batteries out of his game controller....recruiting doesn't matter if you have holes in your special teams coverage like exist right now

he coached line backers previously at LSU. Coached an undersized ALi Highsmith to an All American. The line backer play looks fine, lack of depth is from previous so called linebacker guru who's best linebackers were recruited to LSU before he got here.
Now some say he was just co DC in name and that Mallory was pulling the strings.
we were better in every special teams category from 13-14 except kick off coverage. So again, the special teams over all improved in his first season. Now kick off coverage sucks, the rest of st looks about the same.
As far as recruiting goes, LSU did just land a lb committ and have a few others on board. so I'm saying no, don't fire him.
Find players that are willing to stay in their lanes and hit somebody. And our kick offs suck, I don't see how that can be on the coach, blame les for the recruiting, but not only can't our kickers kick it out the end zone, they can't even aim them rt. you kick it to one side or the other to eliminate half the field. ours either kick it rt down the middle, or out of bounds.
