You'd think losing the majority of your offensive staff would be a wake up call for him. Maybe when he loses his most productive players to the portal he'll realize he isn't anything special. I doubt it though.

I personally didn’t like it, but it’s not like they were going 3-9 and playing basketball on the sidelines.

We are about 9.5 months away from witnessing Golding’s humility, whether he wants it or not. If he’s such a high level, justifiably egotistical guy, he will assemble a new team around Simmons in the portal, just like Lane did. I mean, he has the playbook.
However, WHEN he comes out and lays an egg next season, he will be forced into 1) humility, and 2) begging Lane for a job as DC after Baker leaves and he gets canned by OM.
