Sorry. Not sorry. It’s not a “personal” attack to say a player isn’t good defensively or made one of the dumbest baserunning mistakes you can make. It’s just a fact. No one is attacking him personally or as a teammate. Get over yourself.

That. Or 11.7. Only 27 players get scholarships on a 35 man roster, and a minimum 25% scholarship must be given to a player.

I could blame a pitcher who, with 2 outs, an 0-2 count, guts one right down the middle, with a 4 run lead. That was a big play in the game. Two of our best hitters, with the tying runs in scoring position, late, take a K. For a player who is worthless, let's take away his grand slam & RBI single Thursday nite. A great running catch. etc etc etc. Another player with a ground ball boot, let's take away all his RBI's, those numbers leading the country. My point is that was a team loss, not on the shoulders of only 2 players.

that shite started when I was a senior in his, iirc, LaTech had offered me a full scholarship initially, and they had a better program than we did at the time, LSU invited me to walk on

Jobert isn't the best outfielder on the team, but Kling is hurt. We needed someone in the lineup.
Jobert hit a grand slam Thursday, was 2-4 Friday. That's a guy who wouldn't have even been out there.
The baserunning mistake, you could see that coming. He was pressing hard to get those runs back. He was ultra-aggressive on the basepath, extra steps, moving with the pitch. Just baseball luck the ball was hit to the 3rd baseman, or he'd have been on 3rd before the throw arrived at 1st.

I don’t really think the kid should be drawn and quartered but I find it a bit mind boggling that any position player on the team is not at least passable at any position at this level, in a pinch, seeing as these Braxtons and Jaxtons have done nothing but live and breathe this their entire lives to get here

Not sure how this became a Texas arguument, but let's address. I say, if the kid is from Texas, he's fair game. If he's home-grown, take it easy. That same kid you're bitching about in April is going to be a hero in June<-------Unless he's from Texas.

Talking about input/output about a player is one thing but being personal(using pronouns) about it is another.
