If he starts his arm moving forward from that angle and trajectory I worry about that young man’s career long term.

NCAA dead wrong on this.

Along with 99.7% of the other “decisions” they make.

Is it me, or has this years officiating been historically putrid even considering that it’s SEC officiating? Saying a lot I know, but damn it’s every game there are just awful momentum killing/robbing calls they’ve fricked up.

SEC - where the best come to play the best.
Also SEC - where the average Pop Warner crew comes to officiate.

OK, NCAA, how does Arkansas get rushing yards, when they DON'T HAVE THE BALL?? The rushing yards are usually marked to the spot where the ball carrier fumbles, which in this case was behind the line of scrimmage. NCAA dead wrong on this.

What makes it even dumber is that given when the fumble occurred, if anyone on Arky other than the QB would have recovered, the spot of the ball would have gone back to behind the line of scrimmage for a sack

Forced fumble is better than a sack

This. It should be marked as a tackle (sack because it was behind the line of scrimmage) and then -8 yard return by LSU (or wherever it ended up). Their explanation is stupid as frick.

No, on the play he should be credited with a tackle, sack, AND forced fumble.

Instead he is credited with only a forced fumble. That is NOT better.

So, according to this philosophy, if the qb is 10 yds beyond the LOS and fumbles back to before the LOS, then it's a sack + fumble? It doesn't make sense.

Amen. And yet they can’t address incompetent officiating that misses spots by 6 yards and passes clearly being tipped as seen on replay

Ncaa can Gtfo

I get that you're upset, but officiating does not fall under the NCAA's umbrella. Kinda like saying the president sucks because no one has fixed the potholes on my road.
