He got a big raise last year. He claims to love LSU and said he plans to coach here a long time. If he uses the Texas job to get another raise for this past below average season, by LSU standards, then I’d tell him to hit the damn road. LSU stills recruits big time by its name and past successes. There are plenty of damn good coaches that want this job and would probably take a lot less than he’s getting now.

He’s already been there as their pitching coach

Jay isn’t leaving LSU baseball. 0% chance.

Texas will hire Kentucky’s coach.

He said in an interview back in the day. The only school he would leave Arizona for was LSU

I CANNOT WAIT for Texas to get in the SEC and start getting punched in the mouth. Everyone will see they will be an average program.

These clowns got their 6th choice the last time the job was open, and you could argue they are in worse condition now.

All this talk about how much Texas can offer. What about what they WILL offer? They hired an offensive coordinator for their football coach. They hired Tulanes coach for baseball and promoted an assistant in basketball.

They aren’t outspending LSU for any coach that LSU wants.

None. Jay is all LSU. He knows he's at the best program in the country and has already won a title here. He has the potential to be the 2nd best coach on our history behind Skip fkn Bertman, who he idolizes. He ain't going anywhere. Especially to a program like Texas where you have to deal with all the BS that comes with the territory.

I’m sure he’s a smart man, so 100% he’ll entertain it.
