Doubtful
Doubtful as in we have no idea what happened except hearsay from a minority of viewpoints? I agree.

Or doubtful because you know what happened?

Four players are to be questioned by the police. Jefferson is one of them. We might know his involvement.

Please describe the involvement of the other three players.

Do what? You really don't remember that when Jefferson played in 08, that was the MAIN issue - that he would burn his redshirt?
Three Questions (with answers):

(1) Do players have five years in which to play for four years?
Yes.

(2) Has Jefferson been at LSU for five years?
No.

(3) Has Jefferson played for four years?
No.

That's means it's prob JJ and he's prob done for year
If this is true, then damage to the team could be minimal. Sorry for JJ, but he's a senior and should have known better than to break curfew and go brawling.

I only know the rumors but I feel terrible for JJ. Kid has been clean the entire time he was here then this shite. What a disaster.

Why? If he really did kick a person in the head while they were on the ground and defenseless, I really have no reason to feel sympathy for him. He chose to do it, and will have to pay the consequences.

Also, he's notorious for being an a-hol and arrogant, not some sweet guy.

2nd degree battery occurs when the victim is seriously injured. Broken bones etc...

Its based on the injuries of the victim.

there is no doubt a thread of truth in all of this and I am afraid it is going to be worse than we all want it to be for the offenders. I feel awful for them, but damn, what is up with someone who can assault someone so viciously??... it don't matter if he's a marine or my grandmother, or a stray frickin dog, it's viscous and says something about the person behind the act.

That really sucks...kids life is going to be ruined/forever changed because of a barfight...I still feel like if they weren't LSU football players charges would never be pressed

Oxymoronic
"There was an internet report over the weekend that said Jefferson would be charged with second-degree battery, which is a felony. But Stone said on Sunday that the report was premature and inaccurate."

Sits here wondering...whatever happened to "innocent until proven guilty?"

Oh! Wait! He's been tried in TD!

Does anyone here really know what happened?

Nothing to celebrate about.

Serious stuff with some of our kids lives and futures at stake. Felony conviction is nothing to joke about.

Remember that none of these kids have been trouble for years. All of them practiced and played hard to represent our university.

And there is not a person alive that has not messed up at some point in their lives.

So JJ will get more jail time then plaxico and Vick and that receiver who was drunk and killed someone while driving the charges will be dropped.

I posted the quote from the article. shite like this never goes to trial, no first offender will ever receive the maximum sentence, and no one serves their full bid.
