The SEC statement is a clear admission they know they totally screwed up this situation. If the SEC truly felt they were correct they would leave him suspended.

A few more sentences need to be added.
We Apologize to Coach Johnson, LSU players and fans. Coach Johnson was correct in his assessment. The umpires judgment was in error and the resulting chaos was poorly handled by our umpires.

Plus - all SEC umpires who worked the LSU vs USCe game will be fired for pure incompetence and stupidity.

Also would like to add that our stupid incompetent umps cannot explain how you can call a balk with no batter in the box. We are trying to figure this shite out ourselves as we speak. Right now we are just happy to have Steven Milan to save our arse.

The SEC statement simply says .” coach Jay Johnson will be available to coach in tomorrow's SEC tournament championship game, per an SEC spokesperson.”
SEC did not ever say he was never suspended. By SEC rule he was suspended.

Great but we did okay without him in the last inning.

IMO Coach Jay set that tone for the win.

He stood up for the team and took the ejection. That’s our coach.

What was with the quick hook in the first place? He was being amazingly restrained. Vitello would have cracked skulls and I wouldn’t have blamed him.

Jay said in the postgame that the first thing the ump told him was “you’re not going to like this…”

Would not surprise me if he politely said something to the effect of “Well I’m not leaving this field unless you toss me”

Ejections during the season come with a game suspension I believe

Jay was ejected once during the season. He said his next ejection would result in a suspension.

That rule must be suspended during the post season or the slate is erased.

My point from the beginning. The batter stepped out of the box before the catcher reacted to the throw from the mound

considering someone in the dugout mixed up the "bunt" and "swing away" signals, no ... I'd say we could've used him to clarify what an assistant clearly could've f*cked up.

In all games after the game the coaches get to grade referees, umps, etc. they even get to go so far as to scratch officials which is an extreme measure because not only do you never see that official again if you scratch too many you might have to unscratch
the official. I would still love to know what dumbass official called catchers interference. Remember it was NOT A SUICIDE SQUEEZE. It was a steel of home. No interference should have been called. The batter got out of the way

Per CJJ the umpires told him "if you leave now you will not face a suspension." So if the SEC suspended him then the umps screwed this up too.
