Ballsy to miss your best friend's wedding for a football game.

Not really. Weddings are boring. Fun reception happens maybe 25% of the time. The groom probably would have seen his best friend for 5 minutes. The marriage probably won't last anyway. I could go on.

LSU football > wedding

This is the reason why I got married on May. Nothing much happens in May.

t's the people who schedule weddings during football season who are the ones that are rude and inconsiderate, and don't "care" about their friends and family. They need to realize that a significant number of their guest will be inconvenienced, and its quite rude to do so.

Seriously, with the amount of money we spend for season tickets, I think it's insulting to think I would miss a game and throw money away so carelessly. Now an away game is a little more dicey. Need to find/have tickets for legitimacy of burning money. ..or just say frick'em

this is exactly how I feel...

Of course, fall weddings aren't completely out of the question. That's why God created the bye-week.

at least with respect tithe Obama game, it is one of the few reasons its good to be married to a bama girl. Nothing gets in the way of that weekend.

I left that auto correct above to show how liberal my touchpad is. Tithe Obama? WTF

I'm not stupid enough to ever schedule any type of event during a meaningful/legit LSU game so I don't have that problem.

FWIW I got married in early August to ensure my anniversary never fell on game day. Now my daughter will be born mid-late December so I should be in the clear most years

For college football I'm sure its mostly the south. But I'm sure you'd see the same kinds of threads on a Steelers message board about weddings and shite scheduled for a Pitt/Baltimore game.

My wife's Aggie friend is getting married that day at 6pm. My wife is not pleased, but I think she realizes there's just no way I'm missing this game.
