Pot and kettle.
He shouldn't have said it, but it isn't the end of the world.

Maybe. How about "said a mean thing about."

2 out of 3 guys there was nothing lsu could do about it if you actually follow recruiting, and don't parrot ranter talking points. The other guy flat out lied to the staff.
Please tell me what lsu should have done with those three guys

He shouldn't be saying some kid doesn't have the ability to lead a program
Probably shouldn't but it really isn't some big deal that you are trying to make out of it. He was at a party set up for fans, he was just spouting off stuff trying to rally people. Really isn't that big of a deal.

i agree. les has been in the recruiting game long enough to know shite happens though...coaches choose to part ways with commits all the time, so it does go both ways. i understand he probably said it to get a cheer from the crowd, but with it getting repeated on ESPN every hour i am not sure it was worth it.

Do you believe that recruits visit forums such as these?
I'm curious if you think the massive amounts of shite that Miles and our current players take from posters affects their decisions to come here.
If I was a recruit, I'd think twice about coming to a university where the fans SEEM to hate their own team more than they hate rival teams.

This. The amount of hate that some "fans" have for the team they say they support is unreal.

Good Lord. ESPN has played the clip 3 times in the last hour They don't have to read this.

When people say Gunner Kiel, I only think Patrick Miller.

I haven't seen or heard it, only read about it. Certainly not the politically correct thing to do, but I don't personally have a problem with it.
Kiel and LSU are better off that he stayed out of the SEC. Saying he doesn't have the "chest" for winning a championship is mild, IMO. Players that handle their business like he did, QB's especially, never pan out. Sports Illustrated just reported that recruits not honoring prior commitments are twice as likely to never finish their eligibility.
I bet QB's are 4 to 1.

Holy cow, if another coach from another school said that about a player who decommited from them to come here...I could only imagine the made up curse words that would come from this place towards that coach

To hell with that. Call the kid out. If I was a coach I'll be god damned if I let some 18 year old leave my cheese out in the wind like that. A coaches job is to win games. You want to frick me over like kiel and Davis? I'm not gonna talk nice about you after you just fricked with my livelyhood and my career. And better believe if I face you...my guys are coming after you.

Number 1 they need to stop recording things at the bash. Its a thing to rile up the fanbase not to be broadcast nationally. Just like the thing about bama a couple years ago.
2 it probably shouldnt have been said but Kiel committed to 3 different places and left us hanging a day before he was supposed to show up. Its one thing for a d end to do that but the qb who is supposed to be the guy you can trust to lead is a little different. So maybe he didnt have the chest to stand up to people and lead a program. Either way I dont think Les has ever publicly bashed his own player so if I was a recruit this wouldnt bother me. If Im coming to LSU then he thinks I have "the chest" to lead them if I dont go to LSU then i dont give a rats arse whether Les thinks I have the chest or not.
There are more things to be disappointed about than this...

Another interesting tidbit is a four star receiver committed to Notre Dame jumped ship yesterday and signed with Houston. Must not of been too impressed with Kiel as QB. Granted any receiver is going to love Houston offense.

Murmurs of nervous laughter? I couldn't tell on ESPN. They said Les must've not known a camera was there.
So he said the kid didn't have the "chest" to lead a NC Caliber team. Was he lying? No. So why we mad?

I wasn't saying anything about how LSU should have recruited them. I was saying when you just lost the top 3 from your state, you shouldn't get recorded talking shite about another kid, who didn't come here, so ESPN can play it over and over.

You...completely missed my point.
My question has little to do with the video.
You mentioned that Les Miles' words may affect recruiting.
Since you brought up things that affect recruiting, I asked if you felt message boards like this affect recruiting.
