He can't his sec level pitching.
He's still playing non confrence teams.
CJJ wanted Kling to start he started RF day one as a freshman he never turned the corner.
He knew Bown and Larson passed him up and jumped ship..
Same as Brady Neal CJJ gave him every opportunity to be the guy he could turn it up a notch.

Great player who couldn’t handle SEC pitching. No shame there.

Big 10 pitching is Not SEC pitching.
He has more HR’s against SEC pitching than anyone on LSU’s roster.

Yep looks a lot better. Last year his left shoulder was flying open and he was just waving at the ball. He had zero chance of hitting the ball and you could tell he was defeated mentally. Not sure what our hitting coach was telling him but it wasn’t working.

This. I’m sure not being 15-20 hours from his support system is helping. Some people need that in the 18-22 years of age. Being comfortable helps

Until SEC play, oh wait he won’t see SEC pitching all season

Your 2 downvotes are Lester Earl and Burreaux / Bowlegs. Those 3 are embarrassing.

I’m pulling for him the same as when he was here. You can’t possibly blame his hitting woes on his coaches here. They gave him a ton of opportunity.
He was pressing, hitting a lot of balls straight to the opponent. He needed to make a move to where the competition, at least early in the season, would afford him the ability to relax and get comfortable.
The big ten conference play will tell us all about his improvement. He struggled against good pitching. The big 10 is NOT the SEC but the competition and pitching competence will ramp up.

Ha! Those are different camera angles.

Yeah, I saw his start before the OP even started this thread. You and others have pointed out the caveat. Until he starts the Big 10 schedule, he was feasting off the bakery shop and the cupcakes. My guess is their schedule was as weak as LSU's and everyone else's...directional schools, etc. Some LSU hitters' averages will come down significantly after the SEC starts play. Kling will suffer the same fate when the Big 10 begins intraleague play.

So LSU has faced sec pitching this season?
Didn’t know that.

He’s facing inferior pitching right now. Even the big10 pitching will be a step down. I hope for his sake he has turned the corner, but let’s see where he’s at half way through conference play.

I’m rooting for Kling Kong. Jay thought the world of him and was stunned he wanted to leave. Change of scenery does wonders for some, might just be a case of it here. He’s still got first round potential if he can figure the bat out

I love fans that think they are smarter than one of the best coaches in college baseball. Some of you should keep your thoughts to yourself so you don’t reveal how unbelievable stupid you can be.

He couldn't sniff an early round in the draft with a bloodhound. Under no circumstances is he a 1st round guy...not even a 2nd round guy...probably not a 3rd round guy. For one thing, a LOT of HS players go in the early rounds which is why LSU has to sweat out their signing class every year. Ironically the way I remember it, some of the better players drafted higher opt to come to LSU anyway. Where LSU seems to lose players are in the middle rounds where the money isn't that great but I guess those players were never planning on coming to college anyway...just wanted a safety net in case they didn't get drafted at all.

Definitely is. It’s still obvious he closed his stance. There are more exaggerated examples while at lsu, too.

From a close friend: "He didn't play football in high school so he wasn't used to getting yelled at.". My Nephew's kid played summer ball with him and knows him well.
I love how the NegaRanters jump all over the posters on this board. Small wonder most people are hesitant to post anything.
