Ehh

He is right about himself. He is a baseball player, and because of that, social media searches him out and finds him,

As for her, she used social media to make her persona, not the other way around. It didn’t really seek her out, she sought it out. Which I have no issue with, but let’s not get it twisted

Cry me a river. She put herself out there becoming a quasi stripper on social media leveraging the LSU brand

You can criticize her all you want for how she got her money, but very little of that money is because she went to LSU. She was famous and getting modeling offers before she got here. The NIL rules change meant that she could participate in college athletics without giving her modeling career up. I'm glad she chose LSU because she has been an asset to the gym team.

She's not the typical college athlete and never has been.

There is no point trying to explain anything to that guy using logic. He's a total dumbass.

If LSU sports were a high school, this is the prom king and queen

I have nothing against Dunne. But the team has not done any better with her than without her. In fact, it had more success before her

Not saying she is to fault, but I just don’t see how they have really benefited from her in actual results

Damn, I would pay money for Skenes to come give a social media usage class to my son and his buddies. My boy is kinda doing ok with it but it requires constant oversight and is a learning experience for all of us. Some of his friends, especially the athletes, oh my goodness do thay have an unhealthy relationship with it.

“It’s nice, for sure,” Skenes said. “It can be a pain in the butt sometimes, to be honest, in terms of actually going somewhere. If one of us went out in Baton Rouge [La.] by ourselves, there’s probably gonna be someone there asking for something — picture, autograph, whatever.
“It’s nice to be able to have that conversation. She does get it. I do wish she could come to a baseball game and just enjoy it. It does irk me. I don’t have any control over it. She really doesn’t either. I’m sure it’ll get better as I go up levels, but that’s something I want for her.”

Nobody complains about fame like famous people.

Paul, you play a game for a living. You are rich bc fans pay money to attend your games. Without fans to watch the circus, you’d be in the crowd… like the rest of us.

It is the fans fault. There is a time and place to approach famous people, harassing them as they go about their life is as bad as the paparazzi. They make themselves available at the events and such....not letting them eat dinner in peace demonstrates a lack of awareness and self control.

He was probably mature way before then. It's why dudes like Skenes choose a place like the AFA in the first place.

There is virtue in humility.

If society is rewarding you handsomely for something that creates no tangible value, take the fricking picture for the fan instead of acting like your life is one big inconvenience.
