Will he wear his cowboy hat in the dugout next time we're in Minute Maid?

If so, I'm sold.

AJ Hinch is looking for work. And his teams would NEVER get no-hit.

I think we should hire a medium who could channel the ghosts of Casey Stengal, Augie Garrido, and Ron Polk*, depending on the situation.

*soon probably

Realistically, what’s the chances the Administration would ALLOW an Andy Cannizzaro hire?

They'd probably want to see how well his High School team does before giving him a call.

While we’re at it, let’s replace O with Bobby Petrino.

I hope he coaches baseball better than basketball. 4lsu2's 5-6 year old basketball team beat that arse last month 24-13.

In all seriousness, and I’m not even a fire CPM guy but may be at the end of this year, the answer should be Tony Vitello. Very realistic get for LSU. Has Tennessee moving in the right direction and is a great recruiter. Big part of TCU and Arkansas’s success in the last decade.

That's not a terrible name, if you ask me. Tennessee has gotten out to an impressive start, but we have to see how it plays out also. We see a team like Tennessee come out scorching hot almost every year in the SEC, only to fizzle out in conference play and barely make a regional. If UT finishes with a better SEC record than LSU (even though UT plays in the weaker division) at the end of the year, I would be on board with that possibilty if a few other guys said no.

Majority of the people in this board can’t name more than 5 head baseball coaches in college and those 5 are not coming to LSU. LSU isn’t getting an established head coach from a top program. They all make great money now and are basically on lifetime contracts at the current school. LSU is probably the only place in the country that will think about replacing you after year 4 or 5 if you aren’t winning enough in Omaha. Not games or sec championships but Omaha specifically. Why would you leave a long term contract for relatively equal money for that?

Vitello is probably making 400 grand or so and I think is the next great head coach in the sport and is only 41.

Also, wasn’t he texting his mistress while getting swept by usm? It’s hard to give him the keys to the castle again.
