I've seen your dad at baseball games. Here's to wishing him a full and speedy recovery!

What Coach Mainieri did for your dad does not surprise me. Back in 2006 a couple of months after I was diagnosed with colon cancer and was going through brutal chemo, I received a phone call from coach Mainieri just to wish me well. To this day I don't know how he knew about what I was going through but it sure made me feel special to get that call from him along with an autographed "Get Well" photo a few days later. I guess that's the main reason I defend Coach Mainieri from his haters on this board.

Praying for full and complete healing for your Dad. So sorry about his injury but glad to know we have support from a lot of prayers in situations like this and a reminder of the good our coaches and players do in our community.

Awesome story. I'm not the biggest fan of CPM, but I am a fan of this. Hope your dad has a speedy recovery.

Never understood the hate for Paul Mainieri. At all. He is a great coach who loves LSU, and he is an even better person. Hope your Dad makes a full recovery too.
