Thanks for sharing that. Once upon a time I was young. I was a young teen when he left for his “dream team”, Army. I hated him for it all these years.

He left LSU for Army.

There were a lot of boos when South Carolina ran out onto the field. But this was 4 years after he left LSU for Army. And Dietzel left after the 62 season. Hard to compare.

I was 15 and my family had season tickets in those days (1966 I think). The newspaper said the Big Boo never materialized.
