PP is from Miami. Not exactly "southern".

Nice try, though.

The difficulty with the Wonderlic is not necessarily the questions themselves, it's the time that they give you to take the test. It's not long. I've taken a few of those practice tests before, and there's really only 2-3 super hard questions on them. The real issue is racing the clock. Just like taking a prep course for SATs and other standardized tests, I'm sure that they can teach these guys how to beat the test. If, for instance, you can spot the really hard questions and just skip over them until the end, you could save your time for the easier questions and get a higher score.

I wonder how many of these guys get tutoring on the test. If you have an agent who works with you, they should be able to show you enough tricks to get your score up. When someone gets a low score, I always wonder whether they weren't "coached" enough to the test, or whether they were coached like crazy and still failed miserably.

hmmm...he actually doesn't sound very smart when he speaks, but he's an athletic machine raised to play football and he does this exceptionally well.

Edit: I mean come on, did we really think he was a roads scholar? (where's AuburnCPA?)

Tied for the lowest score amongst all DB's.

Corner doesn't have to really learn a ton of complicated scheme info. He's not gonna play for Belichick, like the article I read says.

But, he'll be just fine.

He's not a tailback or a Quarterback, or even a Wide Receiver. Green, for example, will eventually have to learn the X, Y, & Z position responsibilities, or teams will be able to take him out of the gameplan.

He can get open, but in the NFL, talent only takes you so far. Scheme can beat talent in a lot of situations in the League. Especially if you can't exploit your talent within an opposing scheme in a versatile way.

If Green can only learn the X or the Y receiver responsibilities early on because he simply can't grasp what the other positions require (what does the slot receiver check his route to when he reads pressure from the play side, etc), the money years (read: early) of his contract are going to have him working on athleticism alone.

Which is somewhat of a stunted development curve.

For a kid who was held back in school, this is pretty pathetic.

Not that Peterson's isn't. It's just that his job responsibilities are less complicated and/or sophisticated compared to that of a receiver.
