9-21, 86 yds, 2 TD
That's what I call a typical Les Miles passing line.

Against an elite defense...if they were playing Mizzou and had that stat line it would be concerning

Another defensive standout for LSU during its first preseason game was that of freshman linebacker K’Lavon Chaisson, who had three tackles for loss and a sack.

I'll bookmark your post and bring it up after the Bama game when you whine that we were 9-21 for 86 yards as if this is acceptable against any defense.

It was like 30 plays.
Also half of the starting OL didn't play.

Its the first scrimmage, but you are right. Never a good excuse for shitty numbers like that.

The stats aren't that bad considering the O line had the three true freshmen playing and no Clapp or Malone and Cush playing at center. Going against the number one defense. I am actually happy to see freshmen have picked up enough of the system to be this effective.

5/11 sucks. Anyway you put it.
I'm hoping the other poster is right that those numbers are off...for whatever reason

We are not giving any QB except DE a chance. There is no QB competition and never was. DE still has not shown any flashes of anything close to an average to good QB and will cost us a couple games.
The excuses are running on thin ice at this point. Those stats are always the same unless we're playing one of he high school teams on our schedule.

Wow! melting hard over a 30 play scrimmage that had lots of positive notes.

And I won't be there to see you call me out because I don't care? What type of loser actually bookmarks posts anyway?

At least Les lied to us and got our hopes up. O just straight up told us our QBs are meh af
3 dropped passes from Etling.......one was 50 yard bomb that would have been a TD.....against ARANDA.
It's weird how our fans agree Aranda is the best DC in the nation.......yet think it sucks if our O struggles against said STUD DEFENSE in a scrimmage.......
2 TDs, no INTs, and a dropped TD pass.......
Canada was working Aranda

It's the Les miles butt lickers. They are praying for a shitty offense to make him look good

lol
Fact is, etling has not given any reason for anyone to be confident in his abilities. It would be nice to hear of something positive.
It is just a scrimmage, but hard to get excited about any of those stats.

I think he's done very well. He didn't light the world on fire but I'd say he's above average.
Just my opinion.

literally no one wants this. even the biggest miles supporters admit our offensive production should've and couldve been better.
I fully expect the offense to look better than during Miles' tenure.
and honestly having a huge boost in gained offensive yards isn't really a huge need. it's the balance of the offense we need to change. our 2015 offense was pretty good in offensive yards gained but we were getting those yards in a very lopsided way.

Passing stats from scrimmage If Etling had those stats against Bama last year, we win. Not so bad after all.

I'm going to have to watch that Pitt-Clemson game a little more closely this time.
