I have and always pull for LSU. If Daniels is the QB, I will wish him the best. it is my opinion that football is a team sport. And that being said, we have great receivers, and running backs as well. A championship team QB has more in the arsenal than a 4 yd curl, or unable to go through your progressions, take off scrambling when chaos starts. Daniels is a seasoned veteran and his upside from where he is now is minimal. LSU was an unknown last year, new coaching staff, new players including Daniels.Opposing teams now have ample film to review. SEC opponents will surely put a spy on him, ie Arkansas. Thankfully he is fast and can run although he will not have the success of last year this coming year if he continues to lead with broken plays. Daniels does not utilize offensive team strengths and it will show this coming year. I know of no championship team where the QB leads the team in rushing yds and rushing TDs.

Hopefully Nuss (or Howard) wins the job in the spring so we don’t have to say it.

Probably over, but under that is actually warranted.

Of course if Nuss wins the job people will be saying, "Don't throw the F*ing ball"

Tbh he will have these moments, but many more big plays, especially to 7 and 8.

I’ll be yelling if every play even as our RB is breaking it for a TD

Really? This year GN had 1 TD per 23 attempts and JD had 1 TD per 23.18 attempts.
That's "many more"?
You better hope GN throws a TD every pass because you can expect an Int on the next attempt.

Just want him to be ok with throwing it away when he isn't comfortable with anything he sees and there isn't a run lane available.
Obviously would prefer more aggressive passing that throws recievers open or into 50/50 opportunities.

And I'm sure there will be a scattering of "run the f*cking ball" thrown in too.

He needs to become comfortable and learn the art of throwing your receiver open...that's the thing that made and still makes burrow elite. Do not wait for separation, let your receiver make the play for you. Be aggressive

And hits receivers in stride for after catch yards which LSU had little of this year.

I'm just worried bout the bowl game. How many will he refuse to throw in the bowl game?
Posted on 12/24/22 at 2:53 pm to Thira
Four times per game. If anyone but JD is the QB, it's going to be "Tuck it and run the f*ing ball!"
Posted on 12/24/22 at 3:06 pm to TigerBR1111
That will be great to be able to say that but I'd much rather say 3-4 times a game, "Damn, that was a pretty pass for a TD!!!"

Still going to happen a lot. Daniels isn't a passer, he's a runner with some short pass ability. There won't be any vertical passing game.

You can count me in for a few of those.

Daniels is coming back and think he can lead us to a championship
Daniels may not be the starting QB next season,
What if Nuss and Howard stay and separate from the pack.
Daniels is a great running QB, look at the teams that go to the CFP, passing QB's or teams with dominating OL's are winning and competing for the title.
