re: What current player would you choose to have your back in a bar fight?

You gotta be kidding me.??
And hits receivers in stride for after catch yards which LSU had little of this year.
I have and always pull for LSU. If Daniels is the QB, I will wish him the best. it is my opinion that football is a team sport. And that being said, we have great receivers, and running backs as well. A championship team QB has more in the arsenal than a 4 yd curl, or unable to go through your progressions, take off scrambling when chaos starts. Daniels is a seasoned veteran and his upside from where he is now is minimal. LSU was an unknown last year, new coaching staff, new players including Daniels.Opposing teams now have ample film to review. SEC opponents will surely put a spy on him, ie Arkansas. Thankfully he is fast and can run although he will not have the success of last year this coming year if he continues to lead with broken plays. Daniels does not utilize offensive team strengths and it will show this coming year. I know of no championship team where the QB leads the team in rushing yds and rushing TDs.
No passing game another year. JD must have photos of BK with a live boy or dead girl.

Brian Kelly winning the coin toss and receiving

I don’t understand this. And will never never ever like that BK receives the ball when his team doesn’t score until halftime, and has always stArted the second half behind. I have never seen a coach win the coin toss and elect to receive. I so hate this.

Looking forward to this game. Anything set up for LSU fans? Any recommendations in the area surrounding Darryl Royal stadium?
Thanks in advance.

Alleva's hires while AD at Duke and their records
Posted by Thira on 10/1/17 at 12:58 pm
"Duke tenure
Alleva began as athletic director in 1998. Alleva hired three football coaches in his 11 years: Carl Franks, Ted Roof, and David Cutcliffe. Franks' record in his five years was 7–45, including two 0–11 seasons. Roof went 6–45. Despite an initial preference for former UCLA head coach Karl Dorrell, Alleva eventually settled on Cutcliffe as Roof's replacement.[2] Cutcliffe won ACC Coach of the Year in 2012. His first baseball coach hired was Bill Hillier who compiled a 121–214 record."
What about Alleva attracted LSU so much to make this guy our AD? Certainly not hs past performance hiring coaches.

I agree. Two months for a quality hire, and this is the best Alleva is capable of. Alleva muffed Miles last year, and looked what happened this year. I like Coach O, but e now is in charge of a program, not a manager treading water. His coaching resume is horrendous. We got turned down by Fisher and Herman. Oregon wasn't going anywhere. More interviews should have occurred. Kiffin is in Sabans doghouse, humping half of Tusculoosa, and no chance he leaves Bama for Br.
We are in decline.

He is so entertaining! He would be really great on Gameday and make it fun again. Can you imagine some of the awesome tangents that could take place?
Miles a public speaker? No one in Louisiana understands what he says now. Do you think a national audience has the want to hear him on the back end?
quote:
and yes, our dumb asses will be struggling annually to beat yet another former coach of ours...
You really did drink the kool aid. Miles isn't in the same solar system as Saban.
quote:
man, you have got to be kidding...with his ability to recruit and his winning percentage over the last decade, most D1 schools would give a testicle to be able to hire him...
Maybe....maybe not. No major program will give a testicle for him...maybe testicle shavings or toe nail clippings. Which retread has gone to a major program and brought it to new heights?
LSU has a powerful offense, no doubt. No one else in the country shuts it down and tries to ride a lead like Miles. Give credit to Florida, they are a good team. LSU should have won by 21. Take the want out of a team when you have the chance. LSU will lose a game with this strategy as the competition gets tougher.
re: Q: "Why didn't we pass more last night?"
Posted by Thira on 9/13/15 at 12:39 pm to ballscaster
Why not attack an opponent's weakness? Miss St and Auburn are pitiful pass defenses.
This is what LSU football until Miles leaves. The game has passed him by. The posted is 100% on the money.
I cannot fathom how LSU gets great receivers to come when Miles has no QB development and is so one dimensional run offense.
