these asshats are never remotely happy unless we fire the coaching staff every year...however, I feel pretty good about the season as well. I really was not expecting much after the change of coaching staff and had honestly lost hope of even a decent season after watching Miss St walk over us like a Jr College. O got the mindset of the team straightened out and we had a hell of a run to finish the season.

We got to sit in tiger stadium and watch a pretty nice season of football...and I can't wait until next August when we can start all over again.

O it wasn’t. MSU by 30 is flat out bad. The bad losses do not make up for one mediocre win. It’s that simple and stop trying to spin this as something Miles wouldn’t have done better. Just leave.

You didn’t want to beat Troy?
I’m probably the 100th person in this post to ask that question.

Are you dumb?

I understand the spirit of what you are trying to say....I personally wanted us to beat Florida soooo bad this year...I’m still pissed about the hurricane stuff

I get the optimism, but saying you’re not thinking of Troy or State is like saying we went undefeated.... except for the 3 teams we lost to

yeah lets just dismiss the game LSU lost as a 21 point favorite because OP didn't want LSU to beat them.

Most of the folks posting in this thread either don't understand the spirit of his comments or they do and simply want to derail the thread into the redundant and incessant Coach O, Troy loss, MS State loss, blah blah bitch fest. That is boring.

This is a topic about who you deep down wanted to beat the most because of rival or history, etc. He says in retrospect he is content with the season and how it progressed all things considered - especially because of who we beat.

My one addition to his sentiment is that next year's results will more properly define any trend related to Troy and MS State from this year.

Onward to a hopeful win against the Irish.

Didn't we win something like 20 out of the last 22 games with them? It meant a hell of a lot more to them to win it then it did to me that we lost it. I would've traded 2 or 3 straight losses to state if it meant we beat Bama and Florida.

The loss to Bama, and the fact that we were never in that game, was painful

The minute we lower expectations for our program is the day this program dies
