They spent $22 million AKA “I need the rankings to matter now

Again the high school rankings are irrelevant. Kentucky has the money to recruit better players and LSU had only half of that. Combine that with lolsing two of their better esperienced players the last two years and ther ewas not the depth of backups to replace them. Kentucky has more and better players as backups than does LSU, ergo they survive the injuries better. They didn't lose Oweh and Moreno for the season, LSU lost the closest they had to those players . Yet the inept coach everyone wants to fire outcoached Pope in both games given the comparative rosters.

you have argued that a failing of McMahon was his not giving chest enough playing time. I think that criticism has been revealed to be weak as chest is the exact player with ole miss that I said he was, and he is getting the playing time he deserves, which is not not much.

I turned out to be a prescient genius on that one as tugler is maybe the best defensive player in the country on an elite team (projected 2nd round pick ) and chest's minutes and points and rebounds have vanished on a terrible team. they went the exact directions the advanced metrics I was using indicated they would.
mcmahon was right to not play chest very much. mcmahon has his flaws, but this wasn't one of them.
