He gave up 30+ points to every team with a decent qb that they played. Alabama was the exception with 26 points.

House is exactly doing a great job attracting defense talent either if you look at recruiting rankings

Im a big fan of D'anton lynn.

I prefer Minter, but he’s also high on my list.

I like Guidry and Baker, but would have them down a tier. Same with the guy at Tulane. All have lots of LA connections already.

There are always the retread options. Derrick Mason, Boom and now Tom Allen are all out there, along with Mel Tucker if you can take a little radioactivity. I would take Boom, but I’m. not sure he will leave UGA until his kid graduates.

Then you’ve got guys like Arnett and Durkin. Not really a fan of either of them.

Lets look at defensive stats of D.J. Durkin defense this last season...
#08 in country and #1 in SEC for 1st down defense
#13 in country and #2 in SEC for 3rd down defense
#44 in country and #3 in SEC for red zone defense
#18 in country and #1 in SEC for rush defense
#02 in country and #1 in SEC for sacks
#10 in country and #2 in SEC for total defense
#32 in country and #3 in SEC for scoring defense
#22 in country and #4 in SEC for 4th down defense

only teams to get above 30 points mark were Miami with 48 points, Ole Miss with 38 points, and LSU with 42 points.

And Bama had 28, and that was before Milroe really got it rolling. So in other words, they gave up yards and points to any offense they played with a pulse.

That’s better than House, but not good enough based on the talent level at his disposal.

I was REALLY hoping OSU would beat them so things with Harbaugh might come to a head sooner. Minter is probably not a realistic option now because that situation will now take forever to get to a point where he would be willing to leave.
