The 2003 game is a big black hole for them. They were certain they would win and it would not be particularly close. Every time I'm around an OU fan it comes up.

Man you are right about that. That game is still burned into their memory. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard about it from OU fans

Wife and I going - from Bham, planned to go back in the summer, grew up in Norman. Haven’t been back in awhile. Looking forward to the nostalgia, game time probably a train wreck, but will be there for the Tigahs either way.

I'll be there. My former CEO (~85yo) & I have stayed friends over the years. He's OU grad, I'm LSU grad. He has some pretty sweet tickets on 50 yd line. We've talked about going to our teams' matchup for years & it's finally happening.

Even if the Tigers lose, I'll be there amidst a sea of red & white, *possibly* with a gold hat, Geaux Tigers giant purple foam #1 finger, and LSU alumni jacket to support the team and my colors.

I remember this game. My sister & I (both alumnae) had just graduated two years before.

We were in 600 section of the Dome surrounded by OU fans. They literally had one chant and were not friendly at all.

Hoping I'll have a different experience with their fans in Norman at the game.

I lived about 20 miles from Norman in OKC area for about 5 years back in the 90’s. Never went to a ballgame, though.
Clean and well kept.
Cold fronts can bring the temps from pleasant 70’s to bitterly cold 30’s much quicker than on the gulf coast, and the wind is what makes it so bitter. So you might as well bring layers of clothing and a cap or hat, bc it’s cold more often than not.
I loved the area, though, and if I ever went back to live in OKC area, Norman would be toward the top of my list.

I'll be there. I've never been and I have a booster friend there I want to visit. Ticket wasn't cheap. I'll be sitting among OU fans wearing my purple.

The best view you will have of Norman is in your rearview mirror.
