I participate in a Facebook group, OU Football. 90% of the posts include Boomer!

It gets real fricking old, real quick. I ask, is there ANYTHING else they can say and it's just nothing. No originality.

absolutely. slavery isn't as evil as abortion. How many fetuses did the confederacy slaughter?

Yeah, OU history couldn't even get an original fight song. Ya'll plagiarized Yale's "Boola Boola".

The melody is from the Yale fight song, which is Boola Boola. The word is sung over and over. OK must have been jealous that the longhorns appropriated “I’ve been working on the railroad” for their Eyes of Texas are Upon You” and appropriated Boola Boola.
It doesn’t make sense and isn’t supposed to. It’s a fight song, a cheer really.

We appropriated the melody of “Hey Look me Over” from the 60’s Broadway play “Damn Yankees” for our “Hey Fightin Tigers”.
You can look it up.

Damn them for using a 150 year old expression from the founding of their state over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over.

It’s a horrible song. OU fans take the cake as the most annoying fans in CF

yeah because it was about the tenacity and fighting spirit of the Louisiana Tigers and not about the war itself.
