I hope harris doesn't get discouraged and comes out swinging in the spring and gives it everything he's got. if jennings still wins the "battle", he can say he tried

I personally think he's doing that now

jimmy Ott. Long time sports talk show host in Baton Rouge. Actually has some decent sources, doesn't pump sunshine.

Feel like I am witnessing the real decline here, not joking.

Even though Ott will mouth off about anything for a free queso and chips appetizer, it is troubling that now these rumors are starting.

It is already bad enough wondering why Harris doesn't play when one quarterback is completely inept. But now the rumors he will be transferring, it's getting bad. Of course Les will not be honest. Kick the can down the road and say something stupid is his MO.

Actually, what he said was :

"Well, there are the RUMORS out there...that Harris...I mean...some people are saying that its out there. Harris won't sit for two years. Players on the team are saying.."

He was saying there are RUMORS that players "are saying". He did not say that players told HIM (Ott)

Not specific to him transferring but him following people on Twitter, Otts little nugget of info there (take that for what it's worth) and the comments in the other thread by Harris in his interview.

Sounded like he was pretty mad to be on the bench.

I'd transfer too and not just based on playing time, but the play calling itself.

So how could you say OTT comes to the Rant and think its the gospel. I don't listen either. Haven't lived in BR in over 5 years.

I would hate to lose BH but if he goes I hope he wins all kinds of recognition playing for his new team. Even a Heisman. That would sure offer more concrete proof that CLM cannot be entrusted to lead or develop QBs or even evaluate their potential. Of course, with AJ starting over BH most of us already knew.

That's a true statement. Harris isn't going to sit for 2 more years.

Harris has proven he is the better QB and will be the starter next year.

Of course he won't. I expect him to compete in the spring and next season. I believe he's the superior player there and cream rises, so he will win the job.

If he's in the same spot next year, I'd hold nothing against him for transferring. Too much potential to ride the bench.

Beacuse he said:

he's heard Harris said he "won't sit for two more years"?

Which is unfounded bullshite that has been circulating around the rant that people are taking and running with as if it's fact.

This came up before & Harris was quoted..quoted...as saying he will work his tail off this spring & then see where he stands. But I want to thank all these real LSU fans who seemingly want our best players to transfer for their own best interests. Do you, as a LSU fan, really want Harris to transfer, leaving us with one QB for next season, one with limited ability todate? Do you really want to throw away next season, too? That's almost as bad as hoping LSU loses all its games to insure CLM gets fired. I sat thru 2-9 & that season was absolutely horrible. Some real Tiger fans showing up here.
