Had Duplantis hit for power his whole career like his Sr year, yea.

I’d put 2 seasons of DJL before him for example

Feel like LeMahieu and Schimpf are always overlooked from that 09 era. LeMahieu was almost guaranteed to get on-base, and Schimpf had crazy power for a guy his size

I feel like Russ Johnson is criminally underrated on these lists. Todd walker is unanimously top 3, and Russ was neck and neck with him most of his career. Even had better numbers in some areas, set the season high BA record that stood for about 20 years, both all americans but never got the hype that Walker did. And he's overshadowed on all time teams at SS by Brandon Larson who was pretty juiced up and hit all the HRs.

Bregman is not a no doubter top 5 lsu player based on his college career.

meh, 2x 1st Team AA, National Freshman of the year, Golden Spikes finalist, National SS of the year, National All-Defense team. It's really difficult to just look at his stats in a vaccum given the era in which he played where BBCOR was new and the balls still had raised seams. He's easily a top 5 most decorated player in LSU baseball history. I would, however, put him at 5 behind McDonald, Walker, Furniss, and Nola, in no particilar order.

I don't think they're overlooked necessarily but they both really just had 1 elite season, Lemahieu only being here 2 years before turning pro. I don't think either belongs in the conversation for top 10 all-time at LSU. That's not a knock on them. We've just had a whole lot of elite college baseball players come through here

Brad Hawpe is another often underrated Tiger that could be considered for this list.

Mike Fontenot was pretty damn good as well. Maybe not Top 10 but started for the Cubs.

As usual, 99 percent of you people think baseball at lsu started in 1984. How tiresome
Thin about Alvin Dark,Walker Cress, Joe Adcock, Connie Ryan, and others who you never heard of. Get your info current. You guys think that tiger stadium was built in 1958 probably

A lot of Brad Hawpe love in here, I like it. Maybe not Top 10, but certainly an underrated Tiger.

I think he’s probably my Dad’s favorite who he consistently brings up in conversation. Always talking about his doubles.

No DJ LeMahieu, Aaron Hill, Alex Lange, or Jared Poche and many others that had stellar college careers. All may not have had great pro careers but were studs in college

Austin Nola is another underrated Tiger. His brother was awesome, but he wasn't too shabby. Started all 4 yrs at SS, won a National Championship as a freshman. A now is a MLB player at entirely different position, catcher, no less. Not too many guys have that resume.

I think I’m older than most of you…

You shoulda seen Joey Belle. Beast. Skip says him and Todd Walker are the two best hitters he ever had. He’s on my list. But all the names I’ve seen on this thread were great Tigers.
